The Talifit Bora & ARE Sprint Challenge may be over, but there are enough memories and highlights to last a lifetime! ARE Tahiti is pleased to share a few of those highlights with you.
Paddlers and spectators came from near and far to Bora Bora, a pristine paradise known for its rich color, Polynesian culture, and last but not least, stirring vaβa competition. They came to celebrate the event, the sport, and one another. ARE Tahiti was on hand, a proud sponsor of this festive event.
In the clear waters and natural beauty of Matira Beach, one of the worldβs most beautiful beaches, paddlers raced V1 rudderless canoes and V6 Matahinas, courtesy of ARE Tahiti.
The event featured three glorious days of competition, attracting some of the best paddlers from the Pacific and beyond, who battled the waters and each other in exhilarating sprints and heart-pounding distance races.

In the end, members of the vaβa community experienced outrigger racing at its best, plus that special feeling of βohana. Thank you to everyone who participated, and thanks, as well, to Total Paddler, Ocean Paddler TV, and Talifit_Bora_Race, who chronicled this event with dramatic video footage for all of the outrigger community to see and enjoy.
